Medium technical severity with no CISA KEV confirmation; remediate through the normal risk-based patch cycle unless local exposure raises the priority.

Fix not verifiedA stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the project selector component of Mautic 7. When rendering selection menus for associating projects with system entities, the application fails to sanitize project names returned via AJAX before injecting them into the DOM as option fields. An authenticated user with permissions to create projects can exploit this to store a malicious script payload in the project's name. When another administrative user subsequently opens an entity editor containing the project selector, the injected script executes within the context of their active browser session. This could allow an attacker to hijack the session, perform unauthorized state coordination, or access organizational data within the dashboard.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
