Patch availableMISP contains a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the attribute histogram view. The $selectedTypes variable, which is derived from the URL path segment , was interpolated directly into a JavaScript array literal inside an onClick HTML attribute without any encoding or escaping. An attacker who can cause an authenticated MISP user to visit a crafted URL containing a malicious type value can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser within the MISP application origin. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to read session cookies, perform actions on behalf of the victim, or exfiltrate sensitive data accessible from the MISP interface. The vulnerability requires the victim to be authenticated and to actively navigate to the attacker-supplied URL.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation when the stated preconditions are met. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'). The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
