Medium technical severity with no CISA KEV confirmation; remediate through the normal risk-based patch cycle unless local exposure raises the priority.

Patch availableA flaw was found in Keycloak. An authenticated user can bypass configured WebAuthn policies during credential registration by manipulating client-side JavaScript. This occurs because the server-side processAction() fails to validate that the newly created credential's parameters, such as public key algorithms, match the realm's configured WebAuthn policies. This could lead to the creation of credentials that do not adhere to administrative security requirements, potentially weakening the overall security posture of the system by allowing non-compliant authentication methods.

A client/server product performs authentication within client code but not in server code, allowing server-side authentication to be bypassed via a modified client that omits the authentication check.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
