Evidence used
- No CISA KEV confirmation is currently recorded.
- The selected CVSS metric records a network-reachable, unauthenticated path with no user interaction.
- EPSS is 0.27% for the current model date.

Fix not verifiedIn the current development version of Eclipse aeriOS, for which no official release has yet been published, the Federator component disables TLS certificate validation for outbound HTTPS connections by default. When the TLS_CERTIFICATE_VALIDATION environment variable is unset or set to false, the component configures its HTTP transport to skip TLS certificate verification. As a result, an attacker able to intercept network communications between the Federator and external services could impersonate those services and intercept sensitive information transmitted over HTTPS, including OAuth client credentials and bearer tokens. The issue has been addressed by enabling TLS certificate validation by default. The TLS_CERTIFICATE_VALIDATION environment variable is now set to true in the default configuration provided by the Helm chart and Docker Compose deployment.

The product does not validate, or incorrectly validates, a certificate.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may obtain information outside the intended access boundary.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
