Medium technical severity with no CISA KEV confirmation; remediate through the normal risk-based patch cycle unless local exposure raises the priority.
These OSV and GitHub advisory ranges apply only to the named package and ecosystem. A listed fixed version is not a universal product patch or proof that an update is installed.

Fix not verifiedLivewire is a full-stack framework for Laravel. From 3.0.0-beta.1 until 3.8.3 and 4.3.4, the dot-notated query-string parser in js/plugins/history/index.js, including fromQueryString() and insertDotNotatedValueIntoData(), accepts the __proto__, constructor, and prototype path segments and creates inherited objects. Client-side state handlers then access effects.html, effects.js, effects.xjs, and effects.scripts without Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty.call(), allowing inherited attacker-controlled state to be treated as trusted effects. An unauthenticated attacker can craft a URL that, when opened by a user, executes arbitrary JavaScript in the affected application's origin. Exploitation requires user interaction and does not bypass server-side authorization or grant privileges beyond the affected user. This issue is fixed in versions 3.8.3 and 4.3.4.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation when the stated preconditions are met. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'). The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
