Fix not verifiedThe Read More & Accordion plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.7. This is due to the 'RadMoreAjax::importData' function not restricting which database tables can be written to during import and not properly validating the imported data. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with permission granted by the site owner through the plugin's role settings, to insert arbitrary rows into the 'wp_users' and 'wp_usermeta' tables, including the 'wp_capabilities' field, allowing them to create a new administrator account and gain administrator access to the site.

The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may gain additional privileges.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
