Fix not verifiedThe WishList Member plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization leading to Sensitive Information Disclosure and Privilege Escalation in versions up to and including 3.30.1. This is due to the missing capability checks in the 'export_settings' function. This function returns the REST API Secret Key to the attacker in the AJAX JSON response. An attacker who obtains this key can authenticate to the WishList Member API, create a new membership level assigned the administrator WordPress role, and register an arbitrary administrator-level user account, resulting in complete site takeover.

The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may gain additional privileges.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-269: Improper Privilege Management. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
