Patch available9Router before 0.4.72 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the /v1/web/fetch endpoint. The endpoint accepts a user-controlled url parameter and passes it to a configured external scraping provider (Firecrawl, Jina Reader, Tavily, or Exa) to fetch content. The URL is only validated as syntactically valid via new URL() with no blocklist for private IP ranges, cloud metadata endpoints (e.g., 169.254.169.254), link-local addresses, or internal hostnames. An authenticated or locally-connected user can cause the server to fetch arbitrary internal URLs and have the response content returned, enabling read-access SSRF that can expose cloud metadata credentials, reach internal services, and bypass authentication on localhost endpoints.

The server follows an attacker-influenced destination, allowing requests to systems or services the attacker cannot reach directly.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
CISA Vulnrichment records proof-of-concept exploitation in its SSVC data. BlackTree has not independently executed or validated exploit material.
CWE-918: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination.
