Een kwaadwillende die al over een geldige sessie beschikt, kan de kwetsbaarheid onder specifieke voorwaarden, zoals bepaalde protocolinstellingen of configuraties, misbruiken om zijn rechten binnen de applicatie te verhogen. Hierdoor kan de kwaadwillende toegang krijgen tot afgeschermde functionaliteiten of gegevens.
