Fix not verifiedGetSimple CMS is a content management system (CMS), and GetSimple CMS CE is the community edition of that CMS. Prior to version 1.5, the update handler fetches a user-supplied URL with file_get_contents() after only format validation (FILTER_VALIDATE_URL) — there is no validation of the request destination. An attacker who can submit the form can make the server issue requests to arbitrary destinations, including internal-only services and cloud metadata endpoints (169.254.169.254). The fetched response body is written to a web-accessible file (/Tmpfile.zip) and is not deleted when the content is not a valid ZIP, turning this into a full-read SSRF: the attacker can retrieve the response of the internal request directly. This issue has been patched in version 1.5.

The server follows an attacker-influenced destination, allowing requests to systems or services the attacker cannot reach directly.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with elevated privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
CISA Vulnrichment records proof-of-concept exploitation in its SSVC data. BlackTree has not independently executed or validated exploit material.
CWE-918: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination.
