Patch availablePraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to praisonaiagents 1.6.58, spider_tools._host_is_blocked() does not resolve ordinary hostnames before scrape_page fetches them. A hostname such as 127.0.0.1.nip.io passes validation and resolves to loopback, permitting internal HTTP access. The fix uses socket.getaddrinfo and fails closed on DNS errors. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.58.

This issue is fixed in version 1.6.58.
The product performs reverse DNS resolution on an IP address to obtain the hostname and make a security decision, but it does not properly ensure that the IP address is truly associated with the hostname.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
