Fix not verifiedTobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application implements various file upload functionalities that are vulnerable to a buffer overflow condition. By specifying an excessively long filename in a file upload request, an unauthenticated attacker can trigger a crash of the server, resulting in a denial of service. Depending on the stack state or if a stack canary can be disclosed through another vulnerability, this buffer overflow could potentially be exploited for remote code execution, leading to full compromise of the server. This issue affects TeamDavid before Rollout 528. Starting with Rollout 528 (June 30, 2026), the affected functionality is disabled by default and the vulnerabilities are therefore no longer exposed through this functionality.

A bounds error lets data be written beyond the intended memory region, potentially corrupting control data.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may execute code or commands in the affected security context.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write. The product writes data past the end, or before the beginning, of the intended buffer.
