High technical severity with public exploit material referenced by a structured source; prioritise exposed affected systems while verifying vendor guidance.
These OSV and GitHub advisory ranges apply only to the named package and ecosystem. A listed fixed version is not a universal product patch or proof that an update is installed.

Fix not verifiedwetty provides terminal access in browser over http/https. Prior to version 3.0.4, the wetty client decodes a base64 filename from the file-download escape sequence and interpolates it raw into a Toastify HTML string (`escapeMarkup: false`). Any output the victim renders - a `cat`'d file, a tailed log, an SSH MOTD, a `curl` response - that contains `\x1b[5i...:...\x1b[4i` runs script in the wetty origin and types attacker-chosen keystrokes into the victim's SSH session. Version 3.0.4 fixes the issue.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation when the stated preconditions are met. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
CISA Vulnrichment records proof-of-concept exploitation in its SSVC data. BlackTree has not independently executed or validated exploit material.
CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'). The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
