Fix not verifiedFrogman provides headless FreePBX control. Prior to version 1.6.6, Frogman's chat-console markdown formatter (`assets/js/chat.js`'s `formatMarkdown`) inserted regex capture groups as raw HTML in four template patterns: inline code, bold, markdown links, and download links. Tool responses that reflect user-controlled fields — extension names, ring-group descriptions, IVR names, queue descriptions, etc. — could carry an HTML/JavaScript payload that executes when another admin views the response through Frogman chat. The payload runs in the viewer's session, with the viewer's permissions. FreePBX's own admin GUI escapes these same fields via `freepbx_htmlspecialchars()` throughout its view templates. The chat formatter was the leaky side. Version 1.6.6 patches the issue.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with elevated privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'). The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
