High technical severity; prioritise exposed affected systems while verifying vendor guidance.
ubuntu findings are scoped to the named distribution, release and source package. An absent finding does not mean a package is unaffected.
A published vendor fix does not prove that a matching update is enabled and installable on a particular asset. Confirm the local package candidate before scheduling remediation.

Patch availableCrowdSec offers crowdsourced protection against malicious IPs. From 1.5.0 until 1.7.8, pkg/appsec/request.go NewParsedRequestFromRequest allocated a request body buffer from max(r.ContentLength, 0), so HTTP/1.1 requests using Transfer-Encoding: chunked and HTTP/2 requests without a content-length header produced an empty body and caused WAF rules targeting REQUEST_BODY, BODY_ARGS, ARGS_POST, JSON, or XML to be skipped. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.8.

The product does not use or incorrectly uses a protection mechanism that provides sufficient defense against directed attacks against the product.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-693: Protection Mechanism Failure. The product does not use or incorrectly uses a protection mechanism that provides sufficient defense against directed attacks against the product.
