Fix not verifiedpyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev97, the ADMIN_ONLY_CORE_OPTIONS authorization set in set_config_value() uses incorrect option names ssl_cert and ssl_key, while the actual configuration option names are ssl_certfile and ssl_keyfile. This name mismatch causes the admin-only check to always evaluate to False, allowing any user with SETTINGS permission to overwrite the SSL certificate and key file paths. Additionally, the ssl_certchain option was never added to the admin-only set at all. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev97.

The application performs an authorisation check, but it does not correctly enforce the required permission boundary.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
A structured CVE source labels at least one public reference as exploit material. BlackTree has not independently validated that it is safe, reliable or weaponised.
CWE-863: Incorrect Authorization. The product performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check.
