Patch availableWWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 26.0, AVideo's `_session_start()` function accepts arbitrary session IDs via the `PHPSESSID` GET parameter and sets them as the active PHP session. A session regeneration bypass exists for specific blacklisted endpoints when the request originates from the same domain. Combined with the explicitly disabled session regeneration in `User::login()`, this allows a classic session fixation attack where an attacker can fix a victim's session ID before authentication and then hijack the authenticated session. Commit 5647a94d79bf69a972a86653fe02144079948785 contains a patch.

Authenticating a user, or otherwise establishing a new user session, without invalidating any existing session identifier gives an attacker the opportunity to steal authenticated sessions.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
A structured CVE source labels at least one public reference as exploit material. BlackTree has not independently validated that it is safe, reliable or weaponised.
