Fix not verifiedZITADEL is an open source identity management platform. Prior to versions 4.11.1 and 3.4.7, a vulnerability in Zitadel's self-management capability allowed users to mark their email and phone as verified without going through an actual verification process. The patch in versions 4.11.1 and 3.4.7 resolves the issue by requiring the correct permission in case the verification flag is provided and only allows self-management of the email address and/or phone number itself. If an upgrade is not possible, an action (v2) could be used to prevent setting the verification flag on the own user.

The application reaches a protected operation without first confirming that the requester is authorised.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation when the stated preconditions are met. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-862: Missing Authorization. The product does not perform an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action.
