Fix not verifiedXWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Versions prior to 18.1.0-rc-1, 17.10.3, 17.4.9, and 16.10.17 allow access to read configuration files by using URLs such as http://localhost:8080/bin/ssx/Main/WebHome?resource=/../../WEB-INF/xwiki.cfg&minify=false, leading to Path Traversal. The vulnerability is can be exploited via resources parameter the ssx and jsx endpoints by using leading slashes. This issue has been patched in 18.1.0-rc-1, 17.10.3, 17.4.9, 16.10.17.

The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize sequences such as .. that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-23: Relative Path Traversal. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize sequences such as .. that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory.
