High technical severity; prioritise exposed affected systems while verifying vendor guidance.
Patch availableThis vulnerability exists in the CP Plus CP-XR-DE21-S Router due to the presence of hardcoded HTTP Digest authentication credentials in the firmware that are identical across all devices running the affected firmware. An attacker with access to the local network could exploit this vulnerability by obtaining the hardcoded authentication information from the firmware. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized administrative access and perform privileged operations on the targeted device.

A credential embedded in the product can be recovered or reused across installations instead of being unique to one deployment.
An attacker operating through an adjacent network may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-798: Use of Hard-coded Credentials. The product contains hard-coded credentials, such as a password or cryptographic key.
