Fix not verifiedThe Drag and Drop File Upload for Elementor Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.0 via the elementor_file_upload function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the is_file_type_valid() function, which uses the attacker-controlled 'type' parameter as regex keys in the MIME allowlist, allowing blacklist bypass via a crafted extension that sanitize_file_name() later normalizes to a PHP extension. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible.

The upload path does not sufficiently restrict the type, name, location or later execution of attacker-supplied files.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may execute code or commands in the affected security context.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
