Fix not verifiedA flaw was found in Kruize Autotune. Its REST API ships without an authentication layer, and the endpoints that return datasource configuration — the list-datasources endpoint (GET /datasources) and the datasource-metadata endpoint — serialized datasource objects using a default Gson configuration with no field-exclusion strategy. As a result, the authentication secrets stored for each configured monitoring datasource (basic-auth passwords, bearer tokens, API keys, and OAuth2 client secrets) were returned in cleartext to any client able to reach the service. An attacker with network access to Autotune could harvest these credentials and reuse them to authenticate to the backing monitoring stack.

The product stores a password in plaintext within resources such as memory or files.
An attacker operating through an adjacent network may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
