Fix not verifiedImproper authentication of an HTTP endpoint in the S3 Gateway of Apache Ozone 1.4.0 allows any authenticated Kerberos user to revoke and regenerate the S3 secrets of any other user. This is only possible if: * ozone.s3g.secret.http.enabled is set to true. The default value of this configuration is false. * The user configured in ozone.s3g.kerberos.principal is also configured in ozone.s3.administrators or ozone.administrators. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Ozone version 1.4.1 which disables the affected endpoint.

The affected component does not establish the requesting party's identity reliably before granting access.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-287: Improper Authentication. When an actor claims to have a given identity, the product does not prove or insufficiently proves that the claim is correct.
