Patch availableIn Progress MOVEit Transfer versions released before 2022.0.9 (14.0.9), 2022.1.10 (14.1.10), 2023.0.7 (15.0.7), a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified when MOVEit Gateway is used in conjunction with MOVEit Transfer. An attacker could craft a malicious payload targeting the system which comprises a MOVEit Gateway and MOVEit Transfer deployment. If a MOVEit user interacts with the crafted payload, the attacker would be able to execute malicious JavaScript within the context of the victim’s browser.

Attacker-controlled content can reach a browser as executable script without sufficient output encoding or sanitisation.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication after a user interaction. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting'). The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
