Patch availableTYPO3 is an open source PHP based web content management system released under the GNU GPL. In typo3 installations there are always at least two different sites. Eg. first.example.org and second.example.com. In affected versions a session cookie generated for the first site can be reused on the second site without requiring additional authentication. This vulnerability has been addressed in versions 8.7.55, 9.5.44, 10.4.41, 11.5.33, and 12.4.8. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

The authentication scheme or implementation uses key data elements that are assumed to be immutable, but can be controlled or modified by the attacker.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation with low privileges. If successful, the issue may cause the confidentiality, integrity or availability impact described by the vendor.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-302: Authentication Bypass by Assumed-Immutable Data. The authentication scheme or implementation uses key data elements that are assumed to be immutable, but can be controlled or modified by the attacker.
