Patch availableBytebase 0.12.0 before 1.0.1 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to log in as any user. The flaw stems from trusting client-supplied GitLab provider configuration in the POST /api/auth/login/GITLAB_SELF_HOST endpoint. Attackers can set instanceUrl to a server they control that returns an active user with a chosen email. Bytebase then issues session tokens for that principal, letting attackers impersonate existing users including the Owner or create new members.

This attack-focused weakness is caused by incorrectly implemented authentication schemes that are subject to spoofing attacks.
An attacker operating through a network path may attempt exploitation without authentication or user interaction. If successful, the issue may bypass an access boundary or take over an account.

CVSS severity, EPSS forecast probability, public exploit material and CISA-confirmed exploitation are separate signals.
No CISA KEV match was present at the last successful refresh. This means no confirmation from that source, not proof of no exploitation.
No exploit-tagged reference or CISA SSVC proof-of-concept state is currently recorded. Research may still exist outside the structured feeds.
CWE-290: Authentication Bypass by Spoofing. This attack-focused weakness is caused by incorrectly implemented authentication schemes that are subject to spoofing attacks.
